SilverBridge CEO Jaco Swanepoel recently attended a high-level round table discussion in India organised by its partner Wipro to
look at the business issues facing the insurance industry.
\”Wipro is one of the largest IT consulting and outsourcing service companies in India. To be invited to talk at this exclusive
event which sees approximately 40 of the top Indian CIOs and executives in attendance is indeed an honour especially considering we have only recently become partners,\” says Swanepoel.
Now in its second year, the Wipro round table focused on discussing and deliberating the key trends and challenges currently
faced in the insurance sector and looked at solutions that may help insurance organisations in India.
\”South Africa and India have very similar challenges when it comes to the insurance sector. SilverBridge has overcome many of the
hurdles now faced in India and used the round table as a great way to highlight our best practice and how it applies to the country,\” he says.
The Wipro sessions looked at how to use innovation in the sector with technology as a driver, something that SilverBridge knows very well.
\”Executives attending these sessions are looking for ways to address the challenges they face. While South Africa does not have the same market size as India, it does provide those companies with a good test bed before they use it in their growth market.\”
He believes that his attendance is just another way the partnership between SilverBridge and Wipro is growing from strength-to-strength.
